More missed ambulance response times

Local MP, Alun Cairns has reacted with anger and disappointment that only 61% of urgent (Category A) ambulance calls from the Vale arrived at their destination within the target 8 minute time in January, according to the latest data published.

Mr Cairns has called on the Welsh Health Minister and Welsh Government to respond. Out of 587 calls made to the Ambulance service, only 353 arrived within the designated timeframe. Read more →

Marie Curie fundraisers from Llantwit in Westminster

Vale MP Alun Cairns recently welcomed Llantwit Major fundraisers for Marie Curie Cancer Care to the Houses of Parliament.

The group of Llantwit Major and Western Vale residents met their local MP at the annual Summer Fair last year on their fundraising stall. The ladies were keen to take up Alun Cairns MP’s invitation to visit Westminster. Read more →

Charity runners’ success in Swansea 10k

Vale MP, Alun Cairns joined the Running with Nancy charity fun-runners at the Swansea 10k run last weekend. Following their successful campaign, Mr Lyn Thomas and his daughter Nancy were finally able to secure a place in the Swansea race to help raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. Read more →
