OFCOM and DCMS acting in favour of longer term economic interest

OFCOM’s announcement on the 4G auction in July (www.ofcom.org.uk) has been welcomed by Vale of Glamorgan MP, Alun Cairns who called on UK network operators to accept the terms and not to challenge the decisions through the courts.
Mr Cairns, a long time campaigner for the new technology to be implemented in the UK said that this was a vital boost to all parts of the country and would maintain an effective competition between the network operators, securing efficient and low mobile communication costs to business and personal users.
