Council outline their draft plans for future land development across the Vale
Local MP Alun Cairns has highlighted that the Vale Council’s Draft Local Development Plan will be published for consultation, if the Council Cabinet approve the document. You can view the document here.
Mr Cairns explained:
“The Deposit and Local Development Plan provides the blueprint for development across the Vale over the next 15 years, if it is agreed to by the Council Cabinet.
“This is a key document for the whole community that starts a step by step process to agreeing the Local Development Plan.”
The Deposit Plan aims to provide a sustainable land use framework to guide the growth and ensure the environmental protection of the Vale of Glamorgan over the fifteen year period from 2011 to 2026.
Following adoption, the Local Development Plan will be used to guide and control development and investment within the authority, providing a basis for consistent and appropriate decision making.
