Three new international businesses move into Cowbridge
Last week the Vale MP attended the formal office opening of three new international businesses which are to be based in Cowbridge.
Alun Cairns MP was invited by Michael Burne and Anna Haynes, Directors of Paritas and Common Law Capital along with John Howkins of Worldwide Drinks Ltd to formally open their new offices on Eastgate in Cowbridge.
Established in April 2010, Paritas is a commercial law firm with a varied international client base. Common Law Capital is a new venture that sources, selects and funds international litigation in common law countries around the world. Both businesses have taken over 1,000 sq ft of office space in the recently refurbished property in Cowbridge.
The Vale MP also heard how Worldwide Drinks Ltd, which focuses on exporting beer, wines and drinks to a client base in over 25 countries from as far afield as Australia, Brazil and Russia, was also keen to open an office in Cowbridge.
Mr Cairns said:
“It was great to be able to help showcase these budding international entrepreneurs who, as local residents in the Vale, have chosen to base their business ventures in Cowbridge.
“Last week was global entrepreneurship week in the UK, which celebrates the past 51 weeks and sets the scene for the next year ahead for new businesses. It’s fantastic to think that not one, but three newly formed companies have been launched within the Vale, and have chosen to base their offices here.
“Paritas, Common Law Capital and Worldwide Drinks Ltd all have an international client base and I’m sure that they will make the most of new business opportunities and prove to be successful ventures in the longer term.”

“As a resident of the Vale who has worked for many years outside of Wales I am determined to build a business in the Vale that works internationally. Modern technology and communications make it possible to work effectively anywhere. We are delighted with the new offices at 79 Eastgate and will work hard to grow from here.
